OUR HISTORY
In the highlands of San Isidro del Camino Pochutla, Oaxaca, Mexico, stands proud La Providencia, a renowned coffee farm that has made its presence felt since 1978. Founded by ten visionary shareholders from Miahuatlán, Oaxaca, this farm became an emblem of tradition and quality in coffee cultivation.
The history of La Providencia is intrinsically linked to the figure of Epitacio Rodríguez Figueroa, who in 1913, together with his brothers, began the coffee adventure in the fertile lands of San Isidro del Camino in Candelaria Loxicha, Pochutla. His passion and dedication transformed him into a renowned coffee producer and exporter worldwide.
Located at over 1,100 meters above sea level, La Providencia benefits from a unique climate. The constant mists of the highlands nourish its plantations, creating an ideal environment for the cultivation of exceptional coffee. The result is a premium washed export coffee, exquisite and coveted by connoisseurs around the world.
